0 1/2 cup  barley, pearl
1 tbsp  olive oil
1 pinch  black pepper
2 cup  cold water
1 cup  fresh chopped celery
0 1/2 cup  chopped walnuts
1 pinch  salt
2 tbsp  chopped parsley
  1. In large saucepan, bring water to boil. Add barley, bring to boil again, then reduce heat.
  2. Simmer, covered, 20 to 25 minutes. Drain and rinse under warm water.
  3. Add oil to saucepan. Return the barley to pan.
  4. Add celery, nuts, salt, and pepper. Cook on low until thoroughly heated, stirring gently.
  5. Transfer to serving dish. Garnish with parsley.
