1 tbsp  fennel seed
1 tsp  fresh thyme
1 tsp  fresh rosemary
1 each  medium garlic cloves
1 tsp  salt
0 1/2 tsp  black pepper
2 tbsp  olive oil
1 lb  flank steak
  1. In small bowl, blend fennel, thyme, rosemary, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Massage spice mixture onto both sides of flank steak.
  3. Heat oil in large skillet over medium high. Place steak in skillet and cook 4 to 5 minutes per side for medium rare.
  4. Transfer steak to serving platter. Allow to rest 5 minutes. Thinly slice steak against grain on diagonal.
