2 lb  lean ground beef (10% fat)
4 cup  cold water
1 tsp  cinnamon, ground
1 tsp  ground cumin
1 each  fresh chopped onion
1 tsp  Worcestershire sauce
2 each  medium garlic cloves
2 tsp  salt
2 tbsp  chili powder
1 tsp  black pepper
0 1/2 tsp  hot red pepper flakes
0 1/2 tsp  ground allspice
6 oz  tomato paste
3 each  bay leaves
4 oz  canned mushroom slices, drained
0 3/4 each  chopped green bell peppers
  1. In large stockpot, brown meat, drain fat.
  2. Add water, cinnamon, cumin, onions, Worcestershire sauce, (peeled, whole) garlic cloves, salt, chili powder, pepper, hot red pepper flakes, allspice, tomato paste, bay leaves, mushrooms, and green peppers. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce to simmer. Cover and cook 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaves before serving.
