1 each  package baker's yeast
0.3333 cup  fat free milk
2 1/2 cup  white all purpose flour
6 tbsp  margarine
6 tbsp  sugar
1 each  eggs
2 each  egg whites
0 1/2 tsp  salt
0 1/4 cup  seedless raisins
4 oz  Candied Fruit
0 1/4 cup  chopped walnuts
1 tbsp  fat free milk
  1. Using electric mixer, blend yeast, warm milk, and 1/2 cup flour. Let rest, covered in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  2. Using electric mixer, blend margarine and 1/4 cup sugar until fluffy. Blend in egg, egg whites, and salt. Beat in yeast mixture. Stir in raisins, 1/4 cup candied fruit, walnuts, and 1 3/4 cups flour. Add in the rest of the flour if needed to form a soft dough.
  3. Knead dough until elastic, about 5 minutes. Lay dough in a greased bowl and let rise, covered in a warm place 1 hour, dough should be doubled in size. Punch down dough.
  4. Shape dough into a round loaf and lay on a greased cookie sheet. Poke a hole in the middle of the dough and stretch with fingers to make an 8-inch hole. Let stand, covered 30 minutes in a warm place. Top with the rest of the candied fruit.
  5. Bake dough 25 to 30 minutes. Coat bread with skim milk and top with the rest of the sugar. Bake another 3 to 5 minutes or until sugar is caramelized. Let cool before slicing.
