1 each  cooking spray
0 3/4 cup  fresh chopped onion
0 1/2 cup  medium green bell peppers
3 each  medium garlic cloves
0 1/2 tsp  caraway seeds
0 1/2 tsp  anise seed
1 each  medium head cabbage
0 1/2 cup  white wine
0 1/2 cup  low sodium vegetable broth
1 oz  bacon bits
1 pinch  salt
1 pinch  black pepper
  1. Heat a cooking spray coated pot over medium heat. Cook onion, green pepper, and garlic 3 to 4 minutes; mix in caraway and anise seeds and cook 1 minute.
  2. Mix in cabbage, wine, and vinegar and bring to a boil. Lower heat, place lid on pot, and simmer 5 minutes or until cabbage is wilted. Simmer, without lid 10 to 15 minutes or until cabbage is soft. Mix in bacon-bits. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
