0 1/2 lb  Breadfruit, fresh
1 tsp  salt
2 each  Chili Peppers, red, hot, fresh
4 each  medium garlic cloves
1 tbsp  unsalted butter
  1. Place the breadfruit in a small heavy saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Add the salt, hot chili peppers, and garlic. Cook until a sharp knife pierces the skin easily, about 50 minutes.
  2. Remove the breadfruit and cool; reserve the cooking liquid. Cut the breadfruit into quarters; remove and discard the skin, center rib, and seeds. Slice the quarters into 1/4-inch thick pieces.
  3. Add the butter to the reserved cooking liquid; bring to a boil. Return the breadfruit to the boiling water and simmer 5 minutes.
  4. Drain the breadfruit, transfer to a serving platter.
