12 oz  small scallops
12 oz  large raw shrimp
1 tsp  grapefruit zest
0.3333 cup  grapefruit juice
0 1/4 cup  extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp  fresh chopped green onion
2 tbsp  chopped red bell peppers
1 tbsp  white wine vinegar
1 tbsp  honey
1 1/2 tsp  anise seed
0 1/2 tsp  ground cinnamon
0 1/2 each  fresh pineapple
2 each  medium grapefruit
2 each  medium oranges
  1. Cook seafood in boiling water until scallops are opaque and shrimp are pink, about 1-3 minutes. Drain, rinse under cold water, and drain again. Place in a large plastic bag with a zip top.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the grapefruit peel with the next 8 ingredients and pour into the plastic bag over the seafood. Seal bag and refrigerate for least 2 hours or up to 24 hours, turning bag occasionally.
  3. Drain seafood mixture into a bowl and throw out marinade. Add remaining fruit and gently mix. Serve in glass cocktail cups.
