Ingredients Directions
  1. Masala Paste
  2. In small skillet, saute red chili peppers, coriander, chili powder, poppy seed, cumin, garlic, cardamom, and anise.
  3. Let cool and transfer to a small bowl.
  4. Add green chile peppers, tamarind, ginger, and cilantro. Mash into smooth paste. Set aside.
  5. Chicken Roti
  6. in large skillet, heat oil over medium.
  7. Add onions, saute until brown.
  8. Add ground masala paste. Saute for 8 minutes.
  9. Shred chicken.
  10. Add chicken. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 25 to 30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.
  11. Bring to boil, cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat.
  12. Garnish with flaked coconut and serve.
