Peel outer skin of onions and cut in half crosswise. Place onions cut side down, into an 8-inch square oven safe dish. Sprinkle water on top, cover, and bake for 30 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix the honey, margarine, paprika, salt, curry, and cayenne.
Carefully uncover onions and baste with half of the spicy honey mixture. Bake, uncovered another 15 minutes. Baste onions with the remaining half of the spicy honey mixture and bake until onions are tender, about 15 more minutes.
