Ingredients Directions
  1. In a large saucepan and over medium heat, squeeze the sausages from their casings, break up and brown in oil.
  2. Sprinkle flour on top and cook for two minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Add tomatoes and their liquid, the onion, bell pepper, celery, and all spices. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, uncovered.
  4. Add the okra and shrimp and simmer another 10 minutes.
  5. Discard the bay leaf and serve.
