Ingredients 1.0 1 cup Soda, Sprite, diet, with aspertane 1.0 1 each Gelatin, cherry, sugar free, dry mix, serving 14.5 14 1/2 oz Cherries, red, tart, canned, with water, USDA Commodity Commodity 11.0 11 oz Mandarin Oranges, natural style, canned 0.25 0 1/4 cup sweetener (sugar substitute) 8.0 8 oz whipped fat-free topping 0.25 0 1/4 cup chopped walnuts Directions - To prepare, heat Sprite in microwave on high for one minute.
- Using a large bowl, briskly stir gelatin into hot Sprite. Stir until completely dissolved.
- Drain juices from cherries and oranges into gelatin. Stir until well mixed.
- On a dinner plate, smash cherries with a potato masher. Add sweetener to smashed cherries and stir until well mixed.
- With a whisk, briskly stir sweetened cherries, oranges, Cool Whip Free, and chopped walnuts into gelatin until well mixed.
- Pour into a glass serving bowl (so you can see the pretty layers). Refrigerate until firm.
