0 1/2 cup  lowfat plain yogurt
1 tsp  fresh lemon juice
1 each  medium garlic cloves
0 1/4 tsp  salt

12 oz  extra lean ground beef (5% fat)
1 tbsp  oregano leaves
0 3/4 tsp  salt
1 each  medium garlic cloves
0.125 tsp  ground cayenne (red pepper)
4 each  large whole wheat pitas
8 piece  fresh romaine leaves
1 each  fresh tomatoes
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a small bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, 1 clove garlic, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Set aside.
  3. Combine ground beef, oregano, 3/4 teaspoon salt, 1 clove garlic, and cayenne pepper in a medium-size bowl. Mix well. Form beef mixture into 24 meatballs about 1-inch in diameter. Place meatballs in a 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
  4. Bake meatballs, uncovered, for 20 minutes, or until no longer pink.
  5. Carefully open pita bread halves. Line each half with a lettuce leaf. Fill each half with 3 meatballs, 1 tablespoon of sauce, and tomato wedges.
