2 tbsp  olive oil
1 cup  fresh chopped onion
1 cup  fresh chopped celery
2 each  medium garlic cloves
15 oz  canned garbanzo beans (chickpeas), unsalted
15 oz  red kidney beans, canned and drained
1 cup  chopped tomato
8 oz  tomato sauce
1 cup  cold water
1 each  whole jalapeno pepper
1 tbsp  chili powder
2 tsp  sugar
1 1/2 tsp  ground cumin
1 tsp  salt
1 tsp  oregano leaves
0 1/4 tsp  black pepper
2 1/2 cup  Snap Beans, green, cut, frozen
  1. In a large skillet heat olive oil over medium heat until hot, then add onion, celery, and garlic and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until the onion is translucent.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients except for the green beans and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes.
  3. Once mixture has simmered add green beans and bring to a simmer again, uncovered, for 10 minutes or until the green beans are just tender.
