Diabetes Educator Ministers on dLifeTV this Sunday

Reverend Jeannette Jordan of the Church House of Ministries in South Carolina lost her mother just over 9 years ago from complications of diabetes. “One of my most vivid memories of her is on her knees praying,” recounts Jordan, who is also a practicing Certified Diabetes Educator – one of only a handful of African American CDEs traveling South Carolina to spread the word about good diabetes control.

Reverend Jordan travels the neighborhoods in Goosecreek, SC, educating others about the importance of treating the physical as well as the spiritual self.  “Some people say I’ll just pray and I will be well…but there is something they can do besides just pray and that is take care of themselves,” says the tireless preacher.  Her efforts are featured this Sunday night on dLifeTV, the show that inspires and connects the diabetes community (Sunday, September 3; 7:00PM ET). Reverend Jordan shares that when it comes to diabetes, even the strongest, most faithful person needs to have an excellent diabetes care team in place.
