Nothing's better on a chilly weekend afternoon than a simmering pot of stew. Come take a quick trip through nine different cultures' versions of this culinary comfort. Healthy, scrumptious, and lower in carbs,* these 22 stews will warm your soul.

*Note: In stews and other all-in-one meals, look closely at the fiber grams. When lots of veggies and legumes are involved, carb counts are higher but they're offset by fiber, which doesn't raise blood sugar. If there are 5g or more of fiber per serving, subtract those from the total carb count.
