Dana Carpender is the author of the blog "Hold the Toast," and author of eight cookbooks encompassing more than 2000 recipes, including the national best-selling 500 Low-Carb Recipes. Her books have sold more than a million and a half copies worldwide. Dana wrote a low carb column for United Media for several years, retiring to focus on her blog, and to work as a featured staff writer and managing editor of CarbSmart magazine at CarbSmart.com. Dana lives in Bloomington, Indiana with her husband, two dogs, and a cat, all of whom eschew junk food.
