September 1st 2008 - Charity Golf Outing for Diabetes at Stoney Links Golf Course, Onaway Michigan. Registration cost is $55 per person (4 person teams). Registration starts at 9:00 AM and games begin at 10:00 AM. Dinner, raffles and silent auction will follow. All proceeds will be donated at the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes (September 13th). September 7-13th 2008 - Diabetes Training Camp for adults held at Snowmass, just outside of Aspen, Colorado. Diabetes Training Camp is a unique fitness, exercise and multi-sport training camp geared towards all persons with diabetes. Whether you want to learn more about general fitness or take your marathon and triathlon training to a higher level, this camp is for you! Your team is a phenomenal group of coaches and specialists, some of whom have diabetes themselves. They understand your needs as an athlete or exerciser with diabetes. The registration fee for the week is $1750. The registration fee includes all coaching, workshops, lectures, consultations, training/fitness sessions and camp sponsored meals. September 13th 2008 - Join the MA Pumpers at the Baldwin Park 1 in Woburn MA from 9:30 am until noon. MAPumpers offers a great opportunity to meet and chat with other pumpers. We meet in the training room which is the third doorway on the right after you enter the building. It is literally seconds from 128.
September 15-16th 2008- 1st World Congress on Interventional Therapies for Type 2 Diabetes. A comprehensive and multidisciplinary forum where leaders in the global health community will conduct an organized review and discussion of the latest scientific data and theories. The overarching aim is to craft an agenda of health policy initiatives and seize the opportunity offered by novel interventional therapies.
September 17th 2008 - Diabetes support group meeting at the JFK Medical Center in Boynton Beach, Florida. Come join fellow diabetics to learn more about diabetes. Group meets at 11:00 AM. September 25th 2008 - Support Group for Dealing with Diabetes invites the public to their monthly meeting in Oneonta, NY. Guest speakers will be at every meeting. September 27th 2008 - "Pre-Diabetes Now!" A one- day FREE seminar presented by PCOS in ConnecTion Support Group at the Amity Teen Center Woodbridge, CT. This seminar is devoted to pre-diabetes awareness and learning tools to help reduce your risk of diabetes.
