Taking Control of Your Diabetes (TCOYD), a non-profit diabetes education organization, is hosting a conference, lunch and health fair from 9 am to 5 pm. Conference will feature national and local medical experts offering informative and motivational programs in diabetes care for people with all types of diabetes, those at risk for diabetes, and their loved ones. October 13 – 14, 2009 - Fourth Annual Translational Stem Cell Research Conference, taking place at the Rockefeller University in Manhattan. The conference, the preeminent gathering of its kind, is devoted to demonstrating the potential of stem cell research to advance cures for the major diseases of our time. The first day of the conference includes panel discussions about taking research “from the lab bench to the bedside.” The second day has sessions focused on particular diseases, with presentations by top researchers from the US and abroad.
