October 2-3rd 2007 - Stem Cell Summit, Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA.

October 6th 2007 - TCOYD - Taking Control Of Your Diabetes Conference at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock, AR. Taking Control Of Your Diabetes, 501(c)3, (TCOYD), a nationally recognized not-for-profit diabetes educational organization, invites people with diabetes, as well as those at risk for diabetes and their loved ones, to a full day of seminars, workshops and one-on-one opportunities with leading experts in diabetes care to conferences across the country in 2007. TCOYD's Mission is to educate and motivate people with diabetes and their loved ones, to take a more active role in their condition, in order to live healthier, happier, and more productive lives.

October 6th 2007 - Step Out to Fight Diabetes at Guadalupe River Park & Gardens, downtown San Jose, CA. Step Out to Fight Diabetes is the fund-raising walk of the American Diabetes Association. This is an occasion for the whole family and peopleStep Out to Fight Diabetes of various fitness levels. It will feature three exciting components such as a fund-raising walk/run with three distances, 1.5-mile walk, 5K walk, and 10K run. There will be a free breakfast for all participants, live music, free lunch, a long sleeve T-shirt for participants raising a minimum of $100, dancing, a kids’ play zone, and a healthy living fair.

October 11th 2007 - How Sweet Are You? What Are Your Risks for Diabetes Preentation: Learn the difference between diabetes and pre-diabetes, and how to know if you have either. Come and learn how you can prevent pre-diabetes from becoming diabetes. You have more power than you know! This presentation will be held at the Pewaukee Library - 210 Main Street West Allis, WI from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm. This is a free event.

October 13th 2007 - Walk To Cure Diabetes at the Shops at La Cantera in San Antonio, TX. Registration starts at 7:00 am.

October 13th 2007 - The American Diabetes Association's "Step Out to Fight Diabetes" starting and ending at Micron Technology at 9600 Godwin Drive, Manassas, VA. Walk 3.1 miles through George Mason University's Prince William Campus. Check-in/registration begins at 9am. October 18, 2007 - The Foundation for Diabetes Research will hold it's annual "Harvest for Hope" Fall Fashion Show and Dinner at Birchwood Manor in Whippany, New Jersey. The evening begins at 6 pm. with cocktails, raffles and a silent auction, followed by dinner and a fashion show. Proceeds benefit diabetes research. October 21st 2997 -  10th Annual Rip’s Bikers Against Diabetes (BAD) Ride: Rip's B.A.D Ride-Bikers Against Diabetes-is a motorcycle fund-raising ride and family festival of the American Diabetes Association. This event unites the biker nation in the fight against diabetes with a full day of great riding, big entertainment, delicious food, lots of activities and a good vibe! This event will be held in Arizona.

October 24th 2007 - Diabetes Cooking Demonstration: If you have diabetes or care for someone who does, please join us for this class that includes a cooking demonstration, tasty samples, and educational information presented by our chef and our registered dietician. Location is Aurora Health Center in Waukesha Suite 202 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. There is a fee of $15.00 for his class. Call 888-863-5502 for more information.

October 24th. 2007 - Ask Dr. Bernstein live webcast: This a free live webcast for anyone who would like to ask Dr, Bernstein a question. To access the webcast go to www.diabetes911.net and register for the call and webcast and log in code will be provided at no cost. The next call will be at 7PM cst. It is commercial free.
