November 2007 - Healthy Menu Makeovers with Celebrity Chef: Restaurateur, author and television show host, B. Smith, is encouraging people with type 2 diabetes to recognize that small changes, including food choices, can have a positive effect on managing diabetes successfully, through the Diabetes New Day campaign. The program offers people with type 2 diabetes a one-of-a-kind opportunity to have B. Smith turn their favorite recipe into a diabetes-friendly meal. This month, B. November 3rd 2007 - World of Hope Conference: Families affected by diabetes are invited to attend a day-long conference at The Signature Grand in Davie to learn how the Diabetes Research Institute is harnessing the power of emerging technologies to restore insulin production.
