May 1, 2010 - Sign up for a 45-minute diabetes fitness class and learn new workout techniques. All type 1 and type 2 fitness levels are welcome and encouraged. dLifeTV will be covering pieces of the class as a portion of our Sunday night programming. May 2, 2010 - ADA Long Beach Tour de Cure at 8:00 AM in Queen Mary Long Beach, CA 90802.

May 5, 2010 - Diabetes Self-Management Education Program in Reston Hospital Center 1850 Town Center Parkway, Reston, VA 20190. The 1st Wednesday of the month in Conference Room A of the West Wing Tower at RHC from 12:30-1:30. No need to register, it is drop in.

May 7, 2010 - ADA Wine & Roses Wine Auction and Gala at 7:00 PM in the InterContinental Houston at 2222 West Loop South Houston, TX 77027.

May 7, 2010 - Joslin's 24th annual Evening at the Pops is a fabulous evening of music and fundraising to benefit the Joslin Diabetes Center’s High Hopes Fund and celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the Pops. This year’s event honors the Lagasse family for their exceptional support of diabetes research and care at the Joslin Diabetes Center. May 8, 2010 - JDRF Hope Ball is a premiere gala event that is an elegant evening featuring a silent auction, live auction and JDRF's signature Fund-A-Cure. it will be held at the Renaissance Austin Hotel.

May 8, 2010 - ADA 15th Annual Ride to Live: On Saturday, May 8th, 9:00 AM, hundreds of motorcyclists from across Georgia will unite in the spirit of caring and giving to make a powerful difference in the lives of 24 million men, women and children.

May 8, 2010 - Jeep Show Fundraiser for a Cure to raise funds for the American Diabetes Association will take place at Franklin Sussex Auto Mail 315 Route 23 Sussex, NJ 07461 from 10:00 Am - 5:00 PM. Pre-registration is $25 per jeep. Contact Dennis Petracco at 1-352-267-0819 for more information.

May 16, 2010 - Nordstrom Beat the Bridge to Beat Diabetes in Seattle, WA: Lace up your running or walking shoes and prepare for one of the most fun, beloved, and successful fundraising run/walks in the country! May 21, 2010 - 18th Annual Kiss-A-Pig Campaign a Hogwarts Magical Ball, Hyatt Regency Savannah at 7:00 PM. Kiss-a-Pig is a unique and light-hearted fundraising effort that pits local community leaders against each other in a contest to raise the most “votes” for the honor of kissing the pig at a celebratory gala at the end of the campaign. Each “vote” is equal to one dollar ($1.00). All proceeds benefit the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and aid in the fight to find a cure for this disease.

May 26, 2010 - Dr. Richard Bernstein will participate in another 60 minute TeleSeminar and Webcast on Wednesday, MAY 26th, 2010, at 8PM EST, 7PM CST, 6PM MST, 5PM PST, designed to answer your most important questions concerning diabetes and his thoughts on the latest developments in this area. Dr. Bernstein is a practicing diabetologist who has had diabetes for over 50 years. He is the author of six best selling diabetes books, including Diabetes Solution and The Diabetes Diet. Currently a faculty member at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine, he also has a private practice in Mamaroneck, New York. The teleseminar and webcast session is FREE but seating will be limited and you must also register.
