March 1st 2006 - Diabetic Education Classes at Canonsburg General Hospital in Canonsburg, PA from 1:00 pm. - 2:30 pm. Sessions to assist people with diabetes and family or friends in understanding and managing the disease will be held in the McNary Conference Center. You may attend any or all of the sessions. March 11th 2006 - DIVABETIC "Diabetes University" (Be Healthy and Feel Better) sponsored by the SC. This annual event teaches attendees the tools to self manage diabetes at home or on the go with proper nutrition, physical activity, medication and coping skills. Free health screenings for blood glucose, blood pressure and kidney screening will be provided. Win free DIVABETIC T-shirts, NASCAR race tickets, dLife giveaways, blood pressure monitors and more! March 15th 2006 - The Horace C. Polk, Jr. Regional Diabetes Center at Memorial Medical Center in Lufkin, TX next Support Group meeting will be from 12:00 - 1:00pm. March 15th 2006 - Diabetes Support Group at Canonsburg General Hospital in Canonsburg, PA from 5:30 pm - 6:30pm in the McNary Conference Center. The purpose of the Diabetes Support Group is to bring people together to share tips and talk with others who are coping with the disease. You don't have to do it alone. The support group is free of charge and open to people who are coping with this chronic lifelong condition. Participants may attend any or all sessions. March 17th -19th 2006: A Regional Conference and Expo: Children with Diabetes Focus on Pumping. The program is designed to run 4 sessions simultaneously during most of the weekend. There will be two-day educational tracks for adults and parents of children with diabetes, school-age children (ages 6-9), tweeners (ages 10-12), and teens (ages 13 ). Sessions will end on Sunday late afternoon. The event will take place at the Philadelphia Marriott West Hotel in Philadelphia, PA. For more info click on above link.
