December 1st 2005 - Diabetes: Dealing with the Holidays - Workshop including strategies for planning holiday events, a cooking demonstration with taste sampling, great holiday recipes. Location is Naaman Diehl Auditorium Carroll, Illinois at 6:00 - 8:00pm. Five dollar fee per person to cover food and material costs. Call 815-244-9444 for more information.

December 1st 2005 - Los Angeles, CA Jingle Walk: Welcome to Downtown LA's Jingle Walk for Diabetes 2005! The day will begin at 11:00am with check-in/registration. At 12 noon, walkers will begin the "City Walk" from California Plaza Watercourt on Grand Avenue. Upon their return, participants will enjoy a delicious lunch, Healthy Living Expo, entertainment, festivities, music and more! The Walk will take place come rain or shine!

December 3rd 2005 - Diabetes Expo - New York, NY - Jacob Javits Center. It's a trade show. It's an interactive health fair. It's one-stop shopping for everything related to diabetes and healthy living. For more information click the provided link.

December 7th 2005 - Diabetes Support Group - Come to our free monthly support group at the Diabetes Management Center. Sessions are conducted by registered nurses and certified diabetes educators. Topics include diets, latest treatments, self-monitoring and more. Time is 2:00 - 3:00pm at the Diabetes Management Center Trinitas Hospital Medical Office Building in Elizabeth, NJ. December 8th 2005 - Love and Hope Preview Party: Love and Hope kick off the fundraising season at the Diplomat Country Club in Hallandale, Florida. This is the official start of the Love and Hope season. Funds from this event will support the Diabetes Reseach Institute.

December 8th 2005 - Diabetes Lecture: This lecture will provide a general overview of the disease, explore prevention strategies, and review ways to control and manage diabetes. This lecture is open to the public and will run from 9:30 - 10:00am. Registration is required. December 21st 2005 - Basic Carbohydrate Counting and Meal Planning: This class provides helpful nutritional guidelines for people with diabetes. December 28th 2005 - Advanced Insulin Pump Skills: This class is designed for people already using pump therapy who want to fine-tune their therapy.
