Diabetes Camp at Camp Kushtaka in Cooper Landing, Alaska, for children with diabetes and, space permitting, their siblings, is co-sponsored by the ADA, Children's Hospital at Providence, and Camp Fire USA. Camp Kushtaka is located on the shores of Kenai Lake on the Kenai Peninsula near Cooper Landing. This very special site provides a wonderful setting for campers to enjoy water sports, mountain trails, rivers, forests and streams, great natural beauty and real adventure in the out-of-doors. With 24 hour medical staff, a doctor, nurses and dieticians are available to help campers with any special diabetes concerns.
