It's American Diabetes Month! Across the country, this is a time to focus on the epidemic of diabetes and to work as hard as ever to stop it in its tracks for the millions of people at risk of developing the disease. Week 1 - Goal Setting and Motivation
Like New Year's or your birthday or even like new mornings, American Diabetes Month represents a chance to start anew.
It's your time to get motivated, set goals, and then take it one day at a time. Setting goals does not have to mean a total overhaul of your life. It can mean determining the one thing you want to do better, then taking this month to work it into your life and create a change for the better. Use our resources to learn more about the different aspects of diabetes; find a new doctor; ask the question you've always been afraid to get an answer to; and discover you are not alone. The key to success is consistency and never giving up, no matter how many times you fall.
Make it your mantra this month – It's MY time! – get your goals set, and get going!
