The only lifestyle overhaul I have followed through with was having my daughter, and that's probably because I didn't have a choice! She was coming whether I was ready or not! Now, 9 months later, she fits seamlessly into our lives. We go out of our way to make sure she is healthy, well fed, warm and dressed cute! When it comes to me personally, I have two of the four covered. I can keep myself warm most days and I like to think that I am dressed somewhat cute, but the other two, the healthy and well fed bits, leave me mystified. I do everything in my power to make sure my little girl has the best, so why won't I do that for myself? It's a rhetorical question and one that I am sure has its answer in several hours worth of therapy.

I know the answers are out there for me and I truly wish I were one of those folks who tackled long runs enthusiastically chanting ‘Just do it', but I am just not. I will find my way, and I will tame the beast that is diabetes, but first I will read my new diet book that just arrived from Amazon.
