If you, like blogger Nicole Purcell, were to think about life without diabetes, would there be anything you would miss?
Absolutely not. I can definitively say I would not miss a thing about diabetes.
 
I think I might miss being in tune with my body.
 
I might actually miss not having to plan my food choices as much as I do.
 
I would miss the community the most!
 
I would miss having something forcing me to exercise regularly.
 
Without diabetes, I don't think I would be as on time with my medical appointments, which keep me on top of my health.
 
I think I would overall miss being organized.
 
I can't think of anything I would miss, but I think I would miss something!
 
There are other things I would miss.

Years before I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, The Other Half came out of a doctor's appointment with a diagnosis of "borderline diabetes" and an ADA exchange diet sheet. His health insurance agency followed up on the diagnosis with a glucometer and test strips.
