If you are a parent with diabetes, do you find that diabetes gets in the way of your parenting?
Yes. Too often diabetes takes away the attention I want to give my child(ren).
 
Sometimes it does, and in those moments I feel out of control.
 
Sometimes it does, but I usually feel like I can put diabetes back in its place.
 
I think so, but my family doesn't see it that way.
 
No. So far I have managed to feel like I have control and my child(ren) are not shortchanged.
 
No more or less than a million other things get in the way of what I want to do for my kids!

I have a friend, M, who has diabetes and never, ever tests her bloodsugar before she gets behind the wheel. This has always worried me about her. On Wednesday, she had a bad accident after passing out behind the wheel. She hit another car head on.
