People with diabetes have to do a lot of things to stay healthy. Jackie has to be extra careful to eat the right things at the right times.
Jackie has to be very grown-up sometimes. He also gets a lot of help from his mom and dad, his teachers, his friends and his doctors and nurses.
Sometimes, though, it's hard to be grown-up when you're still a kid. "I wish I could eat ice cream whenevver I want," he says.
