Check Your Feet Daily!

Foot ExamsIs a foot check part of your daily diabetes routine? Early detection of foot wounds is the best way to prevent infection and even amputation.  After washing your feet each morning, take the time to thoroughly examine them. Look for any skin changes, abrasions, or blisters. Don't forget to between your toes and look at the bottoms of your feet. If you have flexibility problems, use a hand mirror to help.
