In addition to all the known benefits breast milk and nursing offer your baby, breastfeeding may actually kick-start your pancreas, improving beta cell function and lowering your risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Breastfeeding also burns extra calories (about 800 daily) and can help you lose excess pregnancy weight.

So. It's been a little over a month now since prediabetes moved into my house.
