Does insulin need to be kept refrigerated?
My mom wants me to go on a pump and I’m kind of scared that I will give myself too much insulin. Please help me. How can I make this transition easier?
How is it that the insulin that is injected works if you are insulin resistant?
I travel for a living and always keep my insulin in a small cooler (Lantus and Humalog). When I give an injection I get a a burning sensation about 75% of the time. This is regardless of the site, whether I keep the insulin out at room temp for a while or regardless of the dosage(Lantus 55 units and Humalog about 5-10 units). I use the standard alcohol swabs and allow to dry before injecting. Any thoughts? Thank you Mike D

I know that you should keep unopened insulin refrigerated till it is opened. Once opened, it should be kept at room temp.
"New insulins" once opened only have a real shelf life of about a month? WHY ???.
