February 4, 2012 – 27th Annual JDRF Gem of an Evening Gala - "One Hot Night on Palm Beach" for JDRF. A fundraising dinner to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Greater Palm Beach Chapter and its effort to raise both money and awareness to fight juvenile diabetes. February 11, 2012 – 13th University of Rochester Diabetes Conference: Treating the Complications of Diabetes. An all-day series of lectures that aims to enlighten audience members to the dangers and risks resulting from diabetes, how to treat those risks and how best to prevent them. The event will include guest speakers, panel discussions and various presentations. February 25-26, 2012 – Children with Diabetes Focus on Technology Conference and Expo The Focus on Technology conference aims to help you and your family gain a better understanding of the technology currently available to people with type 1 diabetes, as well as technology which may be coming shortly down the road. This event takes place at Philadelphia Marriott West 111 Crawford Avenue West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania 19428 The Philadelphia Marriott West is now accepting reservations for the CWD Focus on Technology weekend. Rates are $129 per night. There is a fitness center and an indoor pool on site; parking is free. You may call for reservations 610-941-5600 or use their online reservation form. Be sure to please specify that you are with the Children with Diabetes conference. The room block will be held until February 10, 2012. In order to receive the special rate, you must make reservations before this cut-off.
