April 1st 2006 - Skate For the Cure 2006 will take place at 7:00 pm at the Rinks in Shelton, CT. The event features Olympic and other world class skaters in a lavish ice show. April 4th 2006 - Diabetes Support Group: Provides opportunity for those with diabetes and family members to learn more about the disease by listening to guest speakers and talking with their peers.Trained clinicians speak on topics related to diabetes. This class is open to any persons interested. You do not have to have diabetes to participate. The fee is free. The location is St. John River District Hospital: East China Township, MI from 6:00 to 7:00pm.
April 5th 2006 - 2nd Annual "A Spoonful of Ginger" Food Tasting in Boston, MA. This enjoyable event brings together many of Boston's top chefs, preparing their favorite dishes to tempt the palate and raise money for Joslin’s Asian American Diabetes Initiative (AADI). The AADI was established in 2000 to address the increasing incidence of diabetes among Asian Americans. In addition to an Asian Clinic, the AADI includes local and national educational presentations for health professionals and outreach programs for the public.
