Hospital Care

When illness strikes, even the most diligently managed diabetes can become hard to handle. Add in a hospital stay where the timing and type of care you receive may not be totally up to you - or out of your hands altogether - and you may feel you are at your most vulnerable. Even in the hospital, you can still be the leader of your diabetes care. A little planning can help minimize your risk of various diabetic complications while you are hospitalized and give you the control you need to keep your blood sugar on target.
