8 oz  Pasta, linguini, dry, package
1 tbsp  extra virgin olive oil
1 each  large onion
2 each  large garlic cloves
0 1/4 cup  chopped parsley
10 1/2 oz  Clams, whole, baby, canned
2 tbsp  vodka
1 tbsp  fresh lemon juice
1 cup  no-salt tomato sauce
1 tbsp  ground oregano
0 1/2 tsp  hot red pepper flakes
0 1/4 cup  sliced water chestnuts
  1. Fill a pot with water and bring to a boil. Cook the linguini for about 10 to 12 minutes then drain.
  2. Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet. Saute the onion and garlic until they become soft. Mix in the parsley, clams, vodka, lemon juice, tomato sauce, oregano, hot pepper flakes, and water chestnuts. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Combine the Sauce and Linguini in a bowl. Toss to mix.
