2 each  Cornish Game Hen, whole, with o skin, raw
0 1/4 tsp  dried dill weed
0 1/4 tsp  ground oregano
0 1/4 tsp  black pepper
1 pinch  paprika
1 tbsp  extra virgin olive oil
1 each  medium garlic cloves
2 each  medium shallots
0 1/2 cup  Mixed Drink, sweet vermouth
1 tbsp  frozen orange juice concentrate
1 tbsp  chopped parsley
2 tbsp  slivered almonds
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Sprinkle the chicken with the dill weed, oregano, pepper, and paprika on both sides.
  3. Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet. Sauté the hens for 4 minutes then turn over and sauté for another 4 minutes. Place on a baking dish.
  4. Sauté the garlic and shallots for 1 minute. Mix in the vermouth and orange juice. Spoon the mixture over the hens.
  5. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for approximately 20 minutes. Baste a couple of times.
  6. Raise the temperature to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and bake, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Garnish with the parsley and almonds.
