2 each  acorn squash
1 pinch  mace, ground
1 pinch  black pepper
Directions
  1. Slice the squash into quarters. Remove the seeds and discard.
  2. Pour two quarts of water in a kettle and bring to a boil. Cook the squash for about 10 to 15 minutes. Drain and transfer onto a plate. Sprinkle the mace and pepper on top.
