Servings
Ingredients Directions
  1. Brush pears with lemon juice.
  2. Combine wine, tea, vanilla, sugar substitute and cloves in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  3. Add whole pears, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Carefully remove pears with a slotted spoon and set aside.
  4. Mix sugar free jello with water and add to the syrup in the saucepan. Bring to a boil.
  5. As soon as the syrup starts to thicken, add the pears once again. Lower heat and gently turn the pears with a wooden spoon until they develop a dark, rich color.
  6. Place the pears in a container, cover with syrup and refrigerate. You can slice a small piece from the bottom of the pears to help them stand nicely.
  7. Plate Garnish: 1 cinnamon stick, sugar-free chocolate syrup.
