2 each  large apples
0 1/2 cup  apple cider
0 1/4 cup  packed light brown sugar
1 pinch  ground cinnamon
1 pinch  ground nutmeg
  1. Slice apples in quarters and core. Slice apples again into 1/4 inch thick slices; place in a frying pan.
  2. Spoon apple cider over apples and scatter with brown sugar. Let mixture boil; lower heat and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes. Take apples out of pan with a slotted spoon.
  3. Bring cider mixture to a boil until it becomes thick. Drizzle mixture over apples and dust with cinnamon and nutmeg.
