Ingredients Directions
  1. Remove the zest from lemon with a vegetable peeler, forming long strips.
  2. Place in a medium saucepan.
  3. Mix 1 cup water, sugar, and vanilla bean into the zest.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Add apple, cranberries, and pear to the lemon mixture.
  7. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
  8. Remove and discard vanilla bean.
  9. Transfer fruit to a medium sized bowl.
  10. Simmer liquid for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, before pouring over fruit mixture.
