1 cup  Peas, yellow, split, dry
6 cup  cold water
1 tbsp  fat free reduced sodium chicken broth
1 each  fresh carrots
1 each  medium onions
1 pinch  dried marjoram
1 pinch  ground thyme
1 pinch  ground cayenne (red pepper)
1 each  bacon bits
Directions
  1. Put the peas, water, bouillon, carrot, onion, marjoram, thyme, and pepper in a saucepan. Bring just to a boil then decrease the heat and simmer, covered for about 45 minutes. Sprinkle the bacon bits on top.
