2 each  medium garlic cloves
2 tbsp  margarine
0 1/4 cup  white all purpose flour
3 cup  lowfat milk
1 1/2 lb  fresh chopped spinach
2 tsp  ground basil leaves
0.125 tsp  ground nutmeg
4 pinch  hot pepper sauce
0 1/4 tsp  salt
  1. Cook garlic in margarine 1 to 2 minutes.
  2. Whisk in flour and cook over medium heat 1 to 2 minutes.
  3. Whisk in milk and bring to a boil. Continue boiling, stirring continually 1 to 2 minutes or until thick.
  4. Mix in spinach, basil, nutmeg, red pepper sauce, and salt. Simmer 5 to 7 minutes or until spinach is wilted.
