2 each  medium onions
6 each  medium garlic cloves
1 tbsp  olive oil
32 oz  drained canned tomatoes
0 1/2 cup  white wine
0 1/4 cup  unsalted tomato paste
2 tbsp  fresh lemon juice
0 1/2 tsp  salt
0 1/4 tsp  black pepper
  1. Cook onions and garlic in oil 5 minutes.
  2. Mix in tomatoes, wine, and paste and bring to a boil.
  3. Lower heat and simmer 20 minutes, stirring often.
  4. Mix in lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
