1 cup  fat free milk
4 tbsp  margarine
1 each  eggs
2 cup  white all purpose flour
0.3333 cup  sugar
2 tbsp  sugar
3 tsp  low sodium baking powder
0 1/2 tsp  salt
1 cup  Pears, sulfured, dried, halves
1 tsp  grated orange peel
1 each  cooking spray
0 1/2 tsp  cardamom, ground
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Combine milk, margarine, and egg. Mix flour, 1/3 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add flour mixture into milk mixture until just moist. Mix in pears and orange peel.
  4. Spoon batter into 12 cooking spray coated muffin tins. Top each muffin with remaining sugar and cardamom.
  5. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool.
