4 each  Pears, fresh, small
1 cup  tap water
2 tbsp  fresh lemon juice
1 cup  white wine
1 tbsp  Honey, dark
0 1/4 cup  orange juice
2 tbsp  grated orange peel
0 1/2 tsp  vanilla extract
0 1/2 tsp  ground cinnamon
1 pinch  ground cloves
0 1/4 cup  Cranberries, dried
1 1/2 cup  fresh blackberries
Directions
  1. Rub prepared pears with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. In small saucepan, mix water, wine, honey, orange juice, 1 tablespoon orange zest, vanilla, cinnamon, and cloves.
  3. Place over medium heat and bring to boil. Lower heat to simmer.
  4. Add pears and cranberries, if desired. Cover and simmer for 20-35 minutes, until pears are tender.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool.
  6. Transfer pears with tongs to serving plates curved side down.
  7. Return saucepan to burner. Bring liquid to boil. Continue cooking until sauce has reduced to syrup, about 10 minutes.
  8. Add blackberries to syrup, reduce heat to simmer and cook 1 minute.
  9. Gently remove blackberries with slotted spoon divided evenly into the hollow of each pear.
  10. Drizzle syrup over each pear. Garnish with remaining orange zest.
