1 tsp  minced garlic
0 1/2 tsp  olive oil
0 1/2 tsp  salt
12 oz  Asparagus, fresh
1 tbsp  black pepper
2 tsp  brandy
0 1/2 tsp  garlic powder
1 lb  extra lean beef tenderloin
1 each  cooking spray
  1. Preheat broiler. Coat a broiler pan with cooking spray and set aside.
  2. Toss together garlic, oil, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and asparagus.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix 1/4 teaspoon salt, pepper, brandy, and garlic powder.
  4. Rub brandy mixture onto surface of steaks.
  5. Arrange steaks on prepared broiler pan.
  6. Broil 6 minutes, turn steaks over, and place asparagus in pan.
  7. Broil another 5 minutes or until preferred degree of doneness.
