2 1/2 lb  fresh green beans
1 tbsp  olive oil
0.3333 cup  slivered almonds
1 tbsp  unsalted butter
0 1/4 tsp  ground cayenne (red pepper)
1 pinch  salt
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  2. Wash and drain beans. Cut off ends. In two 12 x 17 inch baking pans, toss half the beans with half the oil in each. Spread out evenly.
  3. Bake beans 15 to 25 minutes or until beans are crisp-tender and golden.
  4. Mix half the nuts and butter into each pan and bake 5 to 6 more minutes. Spoon beans into a serving bowl and toss with cayenne pepper and salt to taste.
