0 1/2 cup  fresh chopped onion
4 each  medium garlic cloves
1 tbsp  olive oil
0 3/4 tsp  oregano leaves
0 1/2 tsp  ground basil leaves
28 oz  whole canned unsalted tomatoes
1 lb  fresh green beans
1 pinch  salt
1 pinch  black pepper
  1. Pour oil in frying pan and cook onion and garlic 3 to 4 minutes. Mix in oregano and basil and cook 1 to 2 minutes.
  2. Pour in tomatoes with liquid and green beans and bring to a boil. Lower heat, place lid on pot, and simmer 30 to 40 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
