  1. Heat a cooking spray coated pot over medium heat.
  2. Sauté onions, garlic, and red pepper over medium to medium-low heat 8 to 10 minutes or until onions are translucent. Stir in beans, broth, and thyme and bring to a boil. Lower heat, place lid on pot, and simmer 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. Using a food processor or blender, puree mixture until smooth. Pour back into pot and add in half-and-half and cook 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. When ready to serve, top with cayenne and parsley.
